A pan-Arab series in which each story is set in a different Arab country, from Iraq and Syria to Sudan, Libya, Kuwait and Oman. The books were illustrated by Mohieddin Ellabbad. The collected *Arab Stories* won the Egyptian State Award for Children's Literature in 1975, his first major prize. *The Day of Harvest* (Jordan) and *Al-Zarzour* (UAE, translated into English in 2001) belong to this series.
